This time we stayed in the Casita of our great friends, Karen & David. What an incredible and beautifully artistic home. We enjoyed live music, walking the Malecon, dancing, and the Wednesday market. We were walking distance to the Centro. Taco, the terrier, was our good buddy. He would come over and visit and enter through his doggie door. David & Karen are an amazing and active couple, who employ numerous locals on a regular basis as well as sponsor an orphanage. There was a pool and pizza party for the La Ola Orphanage kids.

Ajijic really has a lot to offer, with loads of shops, cafes, and plenty of live music and entertainment. The Lake Chapala Society offers both entertainment and services on its beautiful campus. We are considering a future potential move to Ajijic. We would have close proximity to a major international airport in Guadalajara, one of Mexico’s largest cities. Eventually, maybe 3-5 years, we will sell our Panama condo and consider renting in Ajijic for 3-6 months at a time. We will be closer to the US for Medicare and flying to visit family, as well as making it easier for our children to fly down for a visit.
